Make sure to connect the iPod to the Mac system.

Go to the authorized web page and then download the Disk Drill app.

After you have installed the application, open the program.

Switch to the Main window and the files found by the Disk Drill app will appear on the window.

Select the drive or partition in which you have lost the data.

To recover the media files, scan the drive.

Select the Recover option and the app will run through all the scanning methods.

If the Rebuild button appears, it indicates that the drive must be repaired.

Proceed with the restoration by clicking on Rebuild for iPod Data Recovery.

After the repair is complete, the scanning process starts.

A dialog box will open showing all the files which Disk Drill has found.

If you wish to view a preview of the file, select the Eye button.

The Disk Drill app is good at retrieving deleted media files.

If you wish to restore a photo, you can obtain them from the scanned results by using the File drop-down list box and choosing the Pictures button.

Upgrade to the Disk Drill Pro tool and tick the checkbox present next to the files that you wish to restore and select the Recover button.
