Install TestDisk

Download and install the TestDisk software that is compatible with your Linux OS version. Now, verify its version by running the command mentioned below in the Terminal window.

  • Now, create a TestDisk Data log file using the command #testdisk.
  • Use the arrow keys to choose an option in the Terminal window.

  • Press the c button on your system’s keyboard to copy the files you wish to restore.
  • Now, the Testdisk utility will display a list of locations.
  • Select the location by using the arrow buttons and press the C button.
  • Wait for the recovery process to complete.
