Gmail is one of the famous free email services which is provided by Google. You can access your Gmail account on the web or on any third-party programs (email clients). If you wish to access your Gmail account on an email client, you have to configure it using the POP or IMAP protocols. If you aren’t able to access your Gmail account, follow the below-mentioned steps to recover your Google account.
Method 1: Recovering Gmail Account Password
On your computer or mobile, open the default browser and access the Gmail Sign-In page.
On the Gmail login portal, click on the Forgot password link.
Enter your Gmail password that you remember in the text field and click Next.
If you do not remember any password, move on to the next step.
You would have added your phone number for identity verification when you created your Gmail account.
Using this registered phone number, you can get a verification code to recover your account.
Click Yes and select the registered phone number to get the notification.
Otherwise, click on the Try another way link.
If you have selected your mobile for the recovery process, enter the mobile number and click the Send button.
Once you get the verification code from Google on your phone, enter it in the required field and wait for Gmail to verify your identity.
Once verified, you can access your Gmail account. Proceed with the steps below to recover your Google account using gmail username.
Method 2: Recovering Your Gmail Username
On your computer, open the default browser and navigate to the Gmail account recovery page.
Click on the ‘Forgot email?’ link and enter your recovery email or phone number.
Next, enter your first name or last name in the text box.
Now, Gmail will send you a verification code.
Note down the verification code from the message you received on your phone and enter it in the required field.
On the Choose an account screen, select your account from the displayed accounts list.
Type your account’s password to sign in to your Gmail account.
Method 3: Recovering A Deleted Gmail Account
If you have deleted your Gmail account and want to recover it now, log on to the Gmail Account recovery page and click the Next button
Click the Next button and enter the last password you remember.
You will receive a call or text from Gmail to the registered phone number/ recovery email address.
Enter the verification code sent to your recovery phone number/email address and select the month & year in which you have created your Gmail account.
Follow the on-screen instructions to access your Gmail account.
Once you have logged in to the Gmail account, change your account password. If you need remote assistance to recover your Google account, click the call button available on the screen.
