Recover Data From Iphone Backup Mac

Apple enables anyone to perform a backup for keeping your data safe. Apple, over the years, has created several in-built applications for both Mac and iOS devices

Here are the ways you can recover data from your iphone to Mac,

iTunes backup

  • iTunes has been regarded as a convenient data recovery tool for iOS devices like iPhone and iPad, respectively.
  • To perform a backup from your iTunes, power on your iPhone.
  • Connect your iPhone to your computer.
  • Once the download is done, open the file.
  • Make sure your phone is firmly connected to your computer, and the iTunes application is running.
  • iTunes will automatically detect the iPhone connected to the network.
  • You can see your device name and the size capacity of the phone on the computer.
  • Select the Restore Backup option on the right panel of the iTunes window.
  • The Restore backup window opens, it will display a list of 2 radio button options along with a checkbox.

  • Select the iCloud radio button.
  • Click the Restore backup option on the right side of the window.
  • The iTunes will display a message reading Restoration in progress.
  • You can restart your computer once the progress bar is seen complete.
  • Once done, your Backup can be saved in your iTunes on Mac.

iCloud Backup

  • Turn on your iPhone device.
  • Before performing a restore backup.
  • Launch your Mac and open the iCloud application in your Mac system.
  • You can perform the same Backup on your iPhone, and the iCloud can also be accessed in your Mac.
  • You can sign in to your iCloud using the Apple id.
  • Choose a backup and the selected number of files you want to save it on your iCloud.
  • Once you complete the Backup will be initiated. Follow the onscreen instructions until you see the backup progress bar.
  • Depending on the size of the Backup and the internet speed, the time of completion may vary.

Finder Window

  • Performing a backup on the finder window is similar to the iTunes backup.
  • Connect your iPhone to your Mac using a USB cable.
  • The system might ask for your device password. 
  • In that case, enter the Apple user id and the password.
  • Open the Finder window. The finder window will show you the connected phone on the left side.
  • It will show you two options; Software and Backups.
  • In the Backups, select the first option.
  • Backup your most important data on iPhone or iCloud.
  • Click the checkbox beside encrypt local Backup.
  • Click the restore backup option at the bottom of the screen.
  • To restore the Backup, the Mac will prompt you to enter the admin id and password.
  • Click the Restore button.
  • Make sure the iPhone does not go to sleep mode while the restoration progress is going on.
  • You can disconnect the device from your MAC once the syncing is complete.
  • Perform either of the three steps mentioned above to perform a backup of your Mac from the iPhone.
