When you are trying to recover the deleted data using recovery software, you can save the scan results and continue with the data recovery process when you prefer. If you want to know the process of saving the scan results and resuming the data recovery, follow the instructions below.

Save Scan results

  • When the recovery software you are using completes the scanning process and shows you the results, locate the Save Scan option and select it.
  • When you are asked whether you prefer to save the scan results, confirm your decision.
  • When the Save Scan information dialog box appears, choose the location where you want to save the file.
  • Enter the file’s name in the Save As text box and click on the Save button.
  • Now, the scan information will be saved. In case you have stopped the scanning process, you can store the scan information up to that point. But it is always recommended to perform a complete scan and save the scan result.

Resume Data Recovery

If you have saved the scanned information, you can resume the recovery process from the point where you paused the scanning process. Follow the instructions below to resume the recovery process.

  • Now, the list of saved scan information will appear on the screen.
  • Choose the file for which you want to resume the recovery process. In case the desired file is not listed, click the Add button and choose the file for which you want to resume the recovery process.
  • Now, click on the Recover button; a screen will pop up and show you the recovery process.
  • Once the process gets concluded, the recovered files and folders will be displayed.
